Galvalume steel roofing offers superior corrosion resistance, long lifespan, energy savings, and low maintenance, all backed by M & B Engineering.
Rust after every monsoon. Leaks that halt production. Roofing that warp in summer heat. These are common, costly problems for factories, warehouses, and commercial facilities across India and in most cases, the root cause is using the wrong roofing material.
Galvalume is a coated steel product made from a blend of approximately 55% aluminium, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon. This unique alloy coating is applied to both sides of a steel sheet, giving it exceptional resistance to corrosion, heat, and weathering. The aluminium component provides long-term barrier protection, the zinc offers sacrificial edge and scratch protection, and the silicon ensures strong adhesion of the coating to the base steel. The result is a roofing material that is lightweight, durable, and well-suited to India’s harsh industrial and climatic conditions — from coastal humidity to desert heat.
Galvalume steel roofing is engineered to change that. A high-performance alloy coating of aluminium, zinc, and silicon, it outperforms standard galvanized steel in almost every measure that matters for industrial roofing. Since 2001, we have delivered Galvalume-based roofing through its Proflex brand — trusted by 1,700+ clients across India and globally.
Galvalume steel offers 2–4 times better rust protection than standard galvanized steel. Its self-healing aluminium-zinc coating seals scratches and cut edges automatically, preventing rust before it spreads even in coastal, chemical-heavy, or high-humidity industrial environments.
Galvalume roofing typically carries a 10-year warranty and lasts up to twice as long as conventional steel sheets. For large industrial facilities, fewer replacements mean less operational downtime and significantly lower long-term costs. Our systems are fabricated from premium Galvalume coils for consistent, project-grade quality.

A slightly higher upfront cost is offset quickly. Galvalume roofing requires no periodic repainting, minimal maintenance, and rarely needs early replacement. Over a 35–40 year lifecycle, total ownership costs are considerably lower than cheaper alternatives that demand frequent repairs.
Galvalume steel is easy to handle and install, reducing labour time on large roofing projects. Its scratch-resistant coating stays intact through transport and on-site work. These qualities make it ideal for Proflex’s self-supported, column-free arched roofing systems that span wide industrial spaces without additional structural support.
