Manibhai & Brothers, the flagship firm was established to engage in civil construction and heavy engineering projects including hydro and thermal power stations, bridges and flyovers, water dams and more
1981
Originally established as Manibhai & Brothers Construction Pvt. Ltd., in 1981 the company was rebranded as M&B Engineering Ltd.
2001
Self-Supported Steel Roofing Solution, a technology from the United States was introduced for the first time in India, under the brand name Proflex.
2008
Technical collaboration with Varco Pruden, the second-largest PEB company globally, for the PEB business resulted in the commercial production of PEB at the Sanand plant in Gujarat in February 2008.
2013-14
Increased the total installed capacity to 72,000 MT and expanded the range to include both light and heavy complex steel structures.Proflex became the first company to introduce cantilever roofing concepts for railway stations in collaboration with Indian Railways.
2017-19
Phenix executed Asia's largest Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant in Rajasthan for Areva Renewable Energy. The company also delivered the world’s largest single-location terry towel and bedsheet manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh and executed its first project in the USA for BAPS (NJ). It was during this time that Phenix established a Sales and Marketing office in the USA.
2023
Commenced the execution of the first phase of the second Phenix PEB manufacturing plant near Chennai, with an installed capacity of 30,000 MTPA. The project became operational in March 2024.
